Bethesda classification

The results of cervical cancer tests have been expressed in five stages.
Although the classification by these 5 stages is easy to understand and convenient to tell the result, it may not lead to classification of subtle anomalies clearly or may lead to "oversight".

In addition, the notation in the Bethesda system is used as a reference even in academic presentations abroad or in a paper submission.
At our clinic we will carry out based on "Bethesda classification".

Benefits of Bethesda classification

1. It is a classification for cervical cytology
2. It is a adopted classification of evidence related to human papilloma virus (HPV).
3. It is a classification that describes presumed lesions rather than classification by a certain criterion
4. It is a classification that clearly shows suitability (appropriate or inappropriate) of specimen.
