Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that develop in the mammary gland. The mammary gland consists of lobules and ducts. The mammary gland spreads radially like a tree branch from the papilla, and there is place to make breast milk called lobules. The breast ducts carry breast milk to the nipples. Many breast cancers are caused by the cells constituting the lobules.

If the change in the breast is left unnoticed, the cancer cells proliferate and spread to the outside of the mammary gland, and they are carried to an organ distant from the breast such as lung, liver, and bone by lymphatic or blood flow.
